Duo
After a three decade friendship, two San Francisco Bay Area musicians decided to form a DUO devoted to their own compositions and individual arrangements of standards. Their debut cd, LOVE YA, MEAN IT!, was released in December 2007. A series of public performances in clubs, festivals, and other venues is planned for 2008.

JEFF BUENZ—guitars and bass guitar—has enjoyed a varied career in music for the last 30 years.  He is a producer, recording artist, composer, arranger and educator.  He taught at DeAnza College for 3 ½ years, and was a California Arts Council “Artist in Residence” for 9 years.  He has performed and/or recorded with Stanley Turrentine, Flora Purim, Airto Moreira, Toninho Horta, Viva Brasil, Canoneo, and Claudia Gomez. During the last 6 years, Jeff has worked as a CMP (Certified Music Practioner) at Stanford Hospital and other medical facilities.

DENNY BERTHIAUME, piano, grew up outside Washington D.C. and Chicago. He is the only non-California native in the group although San Francisco is his home. He has performed with Bobby McFerrin, Diane Schuur, Joe Williams, and Ed Thigpen. He recorded 4 albums as co-leader of the successful fusion group Solar Plexus. He has appeared at jazz festivals in Monterey, the Russian River, San Jose, and San Miguel de Allende, Mexico.
